Extruding Edges

A straight section of a geometry is called an "edge."

Control points are connected by edges. Midpoints are at the center of edges.

Each edge has 2 handles that look like small arrows. There is one handle on each side of the midpoint.

Click and drag a handle on an edge to extrude that edge.

Extrusion is always parallel to the original edge.

Push/Pull mode

Activate push/pull mode with shift + g

In push/pull mode, faces highlight on mouseover.

  • Click and hold, then push/pull the selected face.

    • Pull/push on the top of a building (levels + floor to floor) will add/remove levels

    • Pull/push on a volume (using height) adjusts the height on a slider

  • Alt + Click on an edge to split a vertical face.
