Adjust project units, info, and more

Project settings are where you can change the information and preferences of the current project.

You can:

  • Change the name or add a description

  • Edit The Project Boundary

  • Change the project units between feet and meters

  • Input custom currency symbols or acronyms

  • Select who sees this project in Templates (Teams tier and above)

  • Share the project with Teams or Members (Teams tier and above)

  • Input values for workspace properties (Enterprise tier)

Open Project Settings on the left. The icon looks like a cog.

Rename a Project or add a Description

Double click the project name to edit.

Click into the description box to add text.

If your project has Views, the first one in the list will be the project's image. otherwise, you will see a map preview.

Use Project as a template

Nominate your project for use as a template.

Core

Create a new project using the current project as a template.

Click "use as template" in project settings.

A new scratchpad opens, with all of the previous project's usages, layers, analytics, etc. included.

No geometries are included with templates. Use duplicate project to retain geometries and the project boundary.

Teams & Enterprise

Share a project as a template with your org.

Click "Use as template"

Then, tick the box(es) to share.

  • For me: acts as a template only for you

  • For my teams: any member of teams you share with will have template access

  • For this workspace (admins only): Everyone in your workspace will have access

Edit Project Boundary

Click to edit the project boundary.

Select Default App

Choose which app starts as open on project start on the right.

Edit Project Defaults

Click "system" to open defaults.

Click the pencil icon next to a value to edit. Click save to commit your changes.

  • Set the project units (choose between meters/feet - ie metric or imperial)

  • Set currency symbol

  • Set acronyms for gross, net, and saleable areas

You can also edit the grid, map style, or project boundary from here.

Share a project

Review who the project is shared with here. Click the icon to share/unshare with others. Your sharing options will depend on your account permissions.

Edit Workspace Properties

Enterprise customers who have configured workspace properties can edit those values here.

Click workspace

Then, click the pencil icon to edit a value.

Click save to commit your changes.

Project Attachments

Add images & pdfs to your projects.

Click "attachments."

Then, click add attachment. Upload your file.

Review project attachments in this tab as well.
