The Layer Library is a searchable repository of all of the data layers available to your account. The layers in the Layer Library may be added by the Giraffe Team, yourself or someone else in your workspace, or anyone who shares a layer with you directly from Manage Layers.
Giraffe allows you to connect to GIS data from any 3rd party source - public or private. You can even use Giraffe to create and host your own data layers. That GIS data is displayed on the map as "Layers.”
Giraffe has curated thousands of public data layers, and you can also add your own.
To open the Layer Library, click "+ data layer" in the Layer Palette

Layer Properties
The column headers in the Layer Library are properties about each layer.
Name - the Layer Name
Description - the Layer description. For API layers, the description is often pulled from the API repository. Other layers’ descriptions are manually added.
Group - The category of the layer. This is managed by the layer administrator and can be customized for layers you own.
Tags - Add custom tags to your layer for grouping and searching
Workspace - The Workspace where the layer is stored
Date - The date field can be used for anything. Many users input the date the layer was added into their workspace.
Sensitive - Sensitive layers are only visible to those with explicit access. Mark a layer as sensitive to hide it from most users in your workspace.
