The DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) file format is an open-source, uniquely structured format made by Autodesk for 2D and 3D drawings and models. This format is mainly used to export modelling data between different CAD programs.

Access the export menu via the main menu (☰) → Export

Select main menu (☰) → Export → DXF (Cad line format)

A .dxf file will download to your computer.

The dxf CAD layers = usages from your giraffe project.

If your Giraffe project has multiple drawing layers, a zipped folder of one dxf file per drawing layer will be generated.
