General Instructions:

  • For residential usages, use the Usage Editor to apply a mix of dwelling types.

    • If "SalePrice" (area rate) property is set, revenue will be calculated off that for all dwelling types.

    • Alternatively, complete the "Price" property for each dwelling to use that as the unit price.

    • Clone the usage if required to apply a different mix for different buildings or scenarios.

  • For non-residential usages, use the following custom properties:

    • Sale income: "SalePrice" (area rate).

    • Rental income: "NetRent" (area rate), "Yield" and "RentFreePeriod".

  • For other usages (e.g. parking), ensure the "Include non-revenue usages" option is selected.

  • To add cost rates, use the custom property "BuildRate" or "HardCost".

  • To breakdown by Building, ensure the BuildingID property is set.

  • To breakdown by Unit, where units are individually drawn, set the UnitID property to override the default numbering.

  • To export multiple phases, ensure each phase is on a different layer and that each layer is visible.

To import into Excel:

  1. Open your existing Excel model.

  2. Create a new blank sheet called "Giraffe".

  3. Copy and paste the CSV file data into the new sheet.

  4. Link the data to your model directly or using lookup formulas.

  5. To update with new areas, download a new CSV file and paste the data again into the Giraffe tab.
