The bulk of the set up for a Places project is actually done using typical Giraffe project functions.

  1. Curate your geospatial layers

Add local data to enhance your design story

  2. Add geometry to flesh out your design.

Update the graphics with appearance properties.

Use usages to standardize across the project.

Take advantage of drawing layers and layer groups to optimize Views.

  3. Build Views to drive your narrative

Views are the main way a Places project guides viewers through your design.

Create a view for every Carousel item.

  4. Gather imagery and host it

Images and Legends for your carousel items need to be web-hosted.

Upload them as project attachments, or use Files.

Once you've curated your project content, add the Places app to turn it into a Places project.

Places can be added to any project by a user that has been given access to the app through the marketplace. It is managed on a per project basis. Talk to us about getting yourself or your organisation access.

Open the App store to add an app.

Search for Places

Click Add

Open the app by clicking the Places app icon.

Then, define locations, themes, and carousel items.

After you've completed your project, publish it to share the design far and wide!
