Copy, Paste, Cut, Delete

Use the clipboard tools to duplicate, move, and delete geometries.

Select one or more geometries. Then:

Copy & Cut commands both place the Giraffe GeoJSON for your current selection on your clipboard.

Copy places the GeoJSON on the clipboard without removing the selection from the canvas.

Use Ctrl + C to copy.

Or More ... > Clipboard > Copy

Or Right click > Copy

Hold down alt + move to quickly copy.

Cut removes the selection from the canvas and places the GeoJSON on the clipboard.

Use Ctrl + x to cut.

Or More ... > Clipboard > Cut

Or Right click > Cut

When you cut or copy, the selection's full GeoJSON is placed on the clipboard. This includes the geolocation of the object(s).

Use Ctrl + V to paste in the same geolocated place - ie, retain the geolocation of the original.

Or Right click > Paste

Use Ctrl + Shift + V to paste in center of screen - ie, remove the geolocation of the original.

Or More ... > Clipboard > Paste to Center

Or Right click > Paste to Center

Use del to delete the selected geometries from your project canvas.

Or More ... > Select > Delete

Or Right click > Delete

Use Eyedropper to quickly copy properties or flows to new geometry.

Select the geometry that you want to copy TO

Use Hotkey Y

Click the geometry you want to copy FROM
