Clear zoning, aerial imagery, or survey layers you no longer need out of a site study. Removing a layer takes it out of this project only. The layer stays in the Layer Library, so you can add it back any time.
Which layers you can remove
These steps work for every layer in a project except drawing layers:
Uploaded files: GeoJSON, Shapefile (.zip), KML, DXF, and CSV
Esri services: FeatureServer, MapServer, ImageServer, and SceneServer
Map services: WMS, XYZ tiles, and Mapbox tiles
3D: Cesium 3D Tiles
Images: image overlays
Portfolio layers
Temporary layers
Drawing layers hold the geometries you draw. Delete a drawing layer to get rid of one.
Remove a layer from the Layer Palette
Open the layer menu in the Layer Palette.
Choose Remove from project.
The layer leaves the project. Add it back from the Layer Library if you need it again.
Open the layer menu on a data layer and choose Manage to manage the layer's details and access.
Removing a layer does not delete it. To take a layer out of the Layer Library for everyone, delete the layer.
