Save metadata to Block Definitions

Block definitions include geometry, properties, and metadata about the block.

To edit block definition metadata, click the Pencil icon on a block listing in the Block manager.

The Block Definition panel opens.

  1. Block name. Type to edit.

  2. Description. Type to edit.

  3. Keywords. Used to assist with search.

    1. Add keywords by typing a single word and tapping enter

    2. Keywords are saved as selectable within the project. Use the same keyword schema on all of your project block definitions

  4. Block geometry preview

  5. Breadcrumb menu. Click to return to the main Block Manager menu

  6. JSON

    1. Click to manually add properties to the block definition

  7. Block ID (used for Flows)

  8. Cancel - return to block manager without saving changes

  9. Insert - insert the block as an instance on the map

  10. Save Block - save changes to the metadata

  11. Metadata menu

    1. Duplicate Block - create a copy of the block definition

    2. Select Instances - select all project instances of the block definition

    3. Delete - remove the block definition from the project
