To create a new Usage, clone an existing Usage.
First, open the Usage Editor.
Select the Usage you want to clone from the dropdown, then click “Clone usage”.
Type the new Usage name and select “Okay”.
Note: the Usage name is not editable once the usage is created. Make sure you have it right before clicking okay!
The new usage will inherit all of the properties, appearance, and defaults from the Usage you cloned.
Edit the properties to match your company’s or project’s assumptions and graphics preferences.
Add Properties by clicking “Add new property.”
Delete properties that are not relevant.
Edit Defaults as needed.
We recommend cloning from the usage that is most similar to the new usage you want to create. For instance:
If you want your new usage to include dwelling units, clone the Residential usage.
If you want the new usage to be landscape, try cloning the landscape - simple usage.
