Giraffe makes use GCP multi-zone redundancy & backups and our core database is backed up daily. Giraffe is currently a single region deployment, spread across multiple zones for disaster recovery purposes.
Target Uptime
Giraffe Platform target's a 99.9% up time (no more than 4 hours down per year)
User Data Backup Policy
The core database is backed up on a daily basis
New: Backup's are now tested for integrity on a monthly basis.
Platform Code Back Up Policy
The platform code is stored and managed on GitLab. Giraffe leverages all the security and backup protocols available, ensuring that there are no unauthorised accesses to the code base
Daily offline backups are made of the platform code both for operational and archive purposes
Automated Disaster Recovery
In the event one of the data centres within the region is compromised, GCP's multi-zone tools will automatically recover from one of the additional regions the deployment is distributed to.
