The report in the Analytics tab is always calculating for all geometries in the project, regardless of layer visibility. This allows you to split your report to display options side by side.

There may be layers or groups that are not relevant to the report. This is how to exclude them:

Click the cog icon in the top right of the Analytics app

The settings screen appears. Click "settings"

The available groups and layers are displayed.

Tick the box next to any groups or layers you want to exclude from your reports.

  • An excluded group will not create a column when split

Hiding groups is only available when the report is already being split

  • An excluded layer will exclude those geometries from all calculations.

    Example:

Hard Cost calculation here is created using the property hardCost * gross area

That calculation evaluates each geometry's assigned hardCost * gross area, then rolls up a final result.

If I choose to exclude the layer Lot A, all geometries from that layer will be excluded from the final rolled up calculation of Hard Cost, regardless of grouping or layer visibility on the canvas.

You will notice that the geometries from excluded layers do not appear in the "per feature" section.

Excluding a layer removes those geometries from every calculation in your project. To exclude a layer from one particular calculation, use filters.
