Workspace members with at least Edit permissions can create new Spaces.

To create a new Space:

From the menu

Click main menu (top left)

Select New > Space

A new Space "scratchpad" opens

From the Project Switcher

Click the project switcher (top left)

Select "New Space"

A new Space "scratchpad" opens

From the Map

If you do not have any Spaces shared with you, this is where you will start by default - a Space Scratchpad

Once you are in a Space "scratchpad," you can begin building the space.

  1. Move the map to the center of your desired default space view. You can either use map navigation tools or search for a location.

  2. Draw a boundary to define the space area.

Click "Draw boundary to save space" (top center)

    Draw a site boundary.
    Click "Save Space" (top center)

Note: The boundary only sets the view bounds of the space - it does not automatically filter the project portfolio or data layers.

  3. Input a name for the Space in the save screen. Then, click "create space"

  4. Share the space with others who need access.

    Then, click "go to space"

  5. Filter your Portfolio Layer using the Data Table.

Apply filters using boundaries, workspace property values, or project creation date.
Make sure to save your changes!

  6. Add Data Layers to the Layer Tree

Add new layers or search for existing ones in the Library
    Group layers and adjust visibility.

Style and Filter vector layers with the Data Table.
Make sure to save your preferred defaults!

  7. Add Apps to the space, if desired.

  8. Choose a basemap style, if desired.
