Create workspace properties from the settings section in Manage Account.

Navigate to Main menu (top left) -> Manage Account.

Select "settings" on the bottom left.

Workspace Properties is below your workspace appearance settings and defaults.

Click "New Property" to create a property.

  • Select the property type

  • Give the Property a name

    • The name is the hard-coded key value of this property. It cannot be changed! We recommend using camelCase for Name.

  • Give the property a label

    • The label is the "pretty" version of the property name. This is what will display in the new project form, the data table, and the portfolio layer. Use any capitalisation, spaces, and symbols.

    • The label can be changed later.

The Name and label are the form field names - NOT the data values.

  • The name/label is consistent everywhere

  • The value is different per project

  • Add a description

    • The description displays on mouseover of the name/label elsewhere in the app

  • Set the Default value

    • This is the value the field will inherit if not overridden on project save

  • Toggle settings

    • Required: must be filled in to save project or changes. Cannot be blank or null

    • Editable: If the property can be changed at project level

    • Visible to Guests: Whether Guests can see this property in shared spaces.

  • Click "Save"

Repeat for each workspace property you wish to add.

Projects created before the workspace property was created will inherit "nulls" on all field values. The next time the project is edited, any Required fields must be filled.
