Content packs and the Content Library keep your team's layers, layouts, and apps ready to reuse on the next site. When content won't add, upload, or save, find the message you see below for the cause and the fix.

Problems with the Content Library
I can't find content
Type in Search for content at the top of the Content Library. Use Group by: to sort content by Category, Workspace, Tags, or Units.
"No workspace content matches your search." means nothing matches what you typed. Clear the search or try a shorter word.
"Nothing in this workspace yet." means no one has added content to your workspace. Ask a workspace admin to publish a content pack.
Content says "Upgrade to access"
Some content isn't included in your workspace's plan. It shows "Upgrade to access this content" and can't be added. Creating and editing content packs needs a Team or Enterprise plan. Ask your workspace admin about upgrading.
Content from a pack didn't all get added
Giraffe adds what it can from a pack and tells you what it skipped.
"Skipped [N] layout(s)" means some layouts weren't added. A project holds up to 10 layouts. Once a project has 10, Giraffe skips the rest. Delete a layout you don't use, then add the pack again.
"Could not import layout(s): no project is open." means you tried to add layouts outside a project. Open a project first.
"[app name] is already added to project" means the project already has that app. Giraffe keeps the one that's there.
"Imported '[name]', but…" means part of the content didn't add, such as one of its layers. The message names what's missing. Add that part on its own.
I can't import from another project
If Giraffe shows "Error loading project," the project you picked didn't open. Check that you still have access to it, then try again. If Giraffe shows "Error importing," the content didn't copy. Try again, or import a smaller piece of the project.
My team can't find content I made
A content pack is private until an admin of the pack shares it. Your team can't see it until then. If you made the pack, you're its admin. Otherwise, ask the pack's admin to share it.
To share a pack you're an admin of:
In the Content Library, open My Content.
Open the pack.
Click Share and share it with people, a team, or your whole workspace.
Sharing packs needs a Team or Enterprise plan. Learn more about sharing in Giraffe.
I can't share content I made
The person who creates a content pack or uploads a file gets Admin access to it automatically. If you can't share something you made, check these:
Content packs: Share only appears in a pack's menu if you have Admin access to the pack and your account is on a Team or Enterprise plan. Core accounts don't see Share.
Files: sharing options are in the File sharing section of the file's Edit file window. If that section is missing, you don't have Admin access to the file. Giraffe doesn't show a message.
If you made it and the sharing option is still missing:
Check you're signed in with the account you made it with.
Reload the page. Giraffe checks your access when the page loads.
Another admin may have changed your access. Ask someone with Admin access to check whether you're still listed as an admin. They, or a workspace admin, can give it back.
If you're listed as an admin and on a Team or Enterprise plan, and the option is still missing after a reload, contact support. Include the pack or file name and your email address.

I can't add something to my content pack
Each content pack has a Category, and the category decides what the pack can hold. If an option you want is missing or can't be ticked, the pack has the wrong category. Choose Bundles to mix different kinds of content in one pack.
Category | What the pack can hold |
Layers | Layers |
Geometry | Geometries, plus their usages, flows, blocks, and scenarios |
Usages | Usages |
Flows | Flows, plus the usages, geometries, blocks, and scenarios they use |
Blocks | Blocks, plus the flows, usages, geometries, and scenarios they use |
Analytics | Analytics |
Reports | A report |
Apps | Apps |
Layouts | Layouts and the apps in them |
Bundles | Any mix of the content above |
Changing the category clears what you've selected so far. Pick the category first.
Analytics, Reports, and Layouts only appear when the project has Analytics, a report, or layouts to add.
You can't change the category of a pack you already made. Create a new pack with the right category instead.
My content pack won't save
"Please select at least one layer, usage, or other app." means the pack is empty. Tick at least one item.
"Failed to upload content," "Failed to create file," or "Failed to capture thumbnail from project" means the pack didn't save. Check your connection and try again.
Favorites won't save
If Giraffe shows "Failed to update favourites," the change didn't save. Check your connection, then click the favorite again.
The Content Library won't let me leave a screen
Giraffe checks for unsaved changes before you leave a Content Library screen. If that check fails, Giraffe shows "Couldn't leave this screen" and keeps you where you are. Save your work, then refresh the page.
Error messages
Giraffe shows these errors in toasts at the bottom of the screen when something in your content library fails.
